Taking pure ecstasy would not likely impact any preexisting heart condition, however, rarely can one find pure ecstasy. Most of the time this drug is cut with other drugs to help amplify or refine the effects. One of the most common additives is amphetamines, this is a stimulant that will accelerate heart rate and cause underlying issues to come to the surface.
On the point of it being a good idea for anyone to take ecstasy at all, I would say that taking it period is a bad idea. Ecstasy creates a surplus of chemicals in the brain heightening pleasure, but when that surplus is no longer present, your body first goes into withdrawal from chemicals such as serotonin, then eventually will fail to produce adequate levels naturally causing an increased risk of depression and suicidal ideations.

It is bad for anyone to take Ecstasy, the stuff may send you on a trip or something but it certainly isn’t good for you. Some people never get a return ticket from those trips. It’s kind of like asking if you should have kemo even if you do not have cancer. Nothing that was not intended to put in your body (even prescription medications) should be taken if they are not needed for survival or health reasons. They all have some kind of side effect and danger attached.

Absolutely! People die from taking ecstacy all the time…and don’t even have that type of family history…and if you don’t..it can have long term affects on your heart. You need to focus on your health. Heart disease can be prevented or at least controlled. You need to go to the doctors and start having your cholesterol monitored, and have a physical once a year, to make sure everything is in place.
