John McDougall MD discsuses cancer growth promoter IGF-1. Blood levels of IGF-1 are raised by consuming dairy products — and even moreso by consuming isolated soy protein. If you avoid dairy because it promotes cancer and instead you eat veggie burgers and drink lots of soymilk, you may want to rethink your dietary choices.

    Dear god he’s so …
Dear god he’s so stupid, how can you possibly say that promoting cell growth is a negative? The thing about Cancerous cells is they will grow abnormally fast anyway, which is why they call it cancer dumbass! Like having healthy teeth and bones is going to kill you faster!

hes saying drinking milk will kill you faster. he says that drinking milk raises the igf-1, the heightend levels will then killl you faster.

Isn’t IGF-1 a protein hormone, hence 100% digested by the stomach, as opposed to being a steroid hormone?

So wait, drinking milk will kill me faster or make me live longer. I are confuzzled.

it might be a more …
it might be a more accurate experiment if you compared small to large elephants together and small to large mice to each other, not mice with elephants. I see your point, perhaps the life average span of each species is pretty much determined by their genetics and their diets decrease or increase their potential longevity?

    And what’s the …
And what’s the insulin benefit of soy? Does soy boost your insulin level? So type-2 diabetics who suffer insulin resistance, do they regain their insulin function if they start taking soy products, like soy milk? people are turning away from soy protein isolate cuz soy can promote estrogen, which stimuates fat instead of muscle growth, and leads to breast cancer in women.

  • ruinsanenow says:

I dont get what you …
I dont get what you say. isn’t human growth hormone secreted from the anterior pituitary gland from the brain. The gland is about the size of a large pea. The HGH then travels in the blood stream and binds to receptors in the LIVER. In turn, the liver secretes IGF-1… which binds to skeletal muscle, fat, bone, etc. IGF directly causes the growth simulation to occur. That’s the relation betw. HGH & IGF-1. But HGH by itself can stimulate bone& muscle growth too.

    What’s myeloma cell …
What’s myeloma cell????Can you explain to me a bit more regarding how IGF-1 promote muscle and bone growth? HGH,IGF-1 & testosterone, which one promotes the most growth?

  • Catalyst9000 says:

    Sorry I’m not very …
Sorry I’m not very good at this. So, according to that, IGF-1 can act like insulin, opening cells for protein and carb to come inside, and therefore, promoting cell growth is that correct? Intense exercise triggers IGF-1 production, so, Those type-2 diabetics suffering insulin resistance who exercise heavily, does IGF-1 help them then?Thx!

Why don’t you get to the point F-A-S-T? You seem to be pushing the insulin health benefits of soy. Why prolong a short video?

    TWO: Insulin-like …
TWO: Insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1 and interleukin (IL)-6 promote the proliferation and survival of multiple myeloma cells.
Did you mean hiv instead of hv; because hv is the Mitochondrial DNA Haplogroup HV. or Planck’s constant times frequency in physics!

  • EGMAG says:

    ONE: As the name …
ONE: As the name “insulin-like growth factor 1″ implies, IGF-1 is structurally related to insulin, and is even capable of binding the insulin receptor, albeit at lower affinity than insulin. IGF-1 has been known as “sulfation factor” and its effects were termed “nonsuppressible insulin-like activity” (NSILA) in the 1970s. It was also known as “somatomedin C” in the 1980s.

  • Catalyst9000 says:

    You seem to know …
You seem to know the topic very well. Can you explain to me more about IGF-1, what it does to your body, and why it’s called insulin-like growth facor 1, what does it hv to do wt insulin? Thx!
