    Thanks for posting this video. I start insulin today, doing it myself for the first time ever. The Dr. said I won’t be insulin dependent but he wants me to use this bottle till it’s gone then no more. I hope matters don’t change and I don’t have to keep using it, it scares me lol. Thanks for the help!

    depending on where you live, you can obtain free syringes from a local needle exchange, the one an hour from where i live supplies my friend with diabetes with the 100 unit BD kind and also TEURMO 100 Unit kind as well, both in 27 and 28 gauge i think….. the BD comes in packs of ten and the other comes in single packs, they will even give you free Sharps Containers as well and dispose of your old ones……. look into it!, usually you can find the programs listed under “HARM REDUCTION” –etc.

    At the time, I was paying for it I think. LOL been SO long ago since I made this video. I still pay for it outta pocket (only $23 @ wal-mart) so it can stay off a slot that I may need. I don’t know anything about the pen.

    I don’t have the pump because I don’t think I need it. It’s just one shot every morning :) The shots aren’t painful now because I use a short needle.

    I have Type 1, and i used to take up to 6 shots day, even though i am now 13 and i have had Diabetes since i was 4, i always try to run away from my Mum! i use the insulin pump now, but site changed are even more painful! just not as often as shots! why dont you have the pump? and do you findshots really painful?
