Symptoms of epilepsy can only be confirmed by a neurologist because seizures are as different as parts of the brain, they can originate anywhere in the brain and can look different. Type 1 diabetes, at least for me, came on quickly with weight loss, hunger, thirst, frequent urination, vomiting and something my doctor noticed as soon as I walked in, the smell of rotten fruit on my breath from ketones, a chemical made in your body from breakdown of fat and muscle. There in no history of diabetes or epilepsy in my family, it's not all genetic.
