Is it hard to eat …
Is it hard to eat sugar when you’re low and feeling sick to your stomach already? I know that when I feel sick to my stomach, sugar makes it worse.

you should look into the pump… my A1c went way down because of easy of operation and the ability to set my insulin levels. I run the mini med paradigm real time system and I love it! I also am a Canadian. Koodo’s on the video! well done

Great video. I agree that parents of Type 1 Diabetics have it harder than the diabetic themselves.
I know you will …
I know you will fight through till there is a cure. Diabetes runs in my family, and the doctor told me that i might get it or called me “prediabetic”. When i was at the endocrinologist’s office for my growth hormone deficiency, i saw others with insulin pumps. Could you get one of those to make life easier?

You keep working on …
You keep working on controlling your diabetes. People who couldn’t years ago got dreadful “complications” and died very young. You’re lucky you have the modern insulins and strips and the knowledge about food. Even then, diabetes management is a long term project that occupies the diabetic day and night. Good luck!

I finally got a chance to watch the video. I’m hard of hearing so you spoke quickly and I missed some of the script. Can you slow the speech down a bit. Great video! Good luck in the contest.
Have you thought …
Have you thought about using a government-purchased insulin pump with $2,400 worth of insulin pump supplies annually when you get back to Ontario? Type 1 diabetes is not very common among people of Chinese descent. Have you met other children and young adults in China with diabetes? How do they manage their diabetes? That would make an interesting video wouldn’t it? It would really contrast with your modern treatment regime.
