I am a 35 year old female and have Type 2 Diabetes. I have a 6 month old and am now 7 weeks pregnant again. Since my husband and I feel we are not ready to have another baby, we are planning to terminate the pregnancy.

What are the risks of medical termination of pregnancy for a diabetic patient?

I had a C-section delivery of my first baby. Does it factor in ?

Don’t have an abortion that’s evil believe me after you do it then your gonna feel bad and that’s gonna be on your conscious that you KILLED your OWN CHILD,,,please don’t do it,,,just ask your doc if there’s some ways that you could have a perfectly healthy baby…oh yeah p.s. you should have wrapped it up if you didn’t want to get pregnant again,,,not trying to sound ignorant but ain’t that how you got preg in the first place

Why would you want to abort a baby? They are gifts…. If you feel you are unable to care for the baby, put it up for adoption. There are sssssoooooo many families that can not have a child that would love to have one and would like to have a baby. If you have 1 child, you know how lucky you are… It is a living child from the moment you had sex……

first of all you need to speak to a doctor regarding the diabetes.
you will get a lot of nasty comments on here because of the termination. just remember it is up to you.
do not be pressured into it by your husband, you are the one that has to go through it and have it on your conscience. I know someone who as just recently had a termination because of the same situation as you. she said when it happened she felt guilty and asked herself what she had done. when she came out of hospital she felt relieved it was over and has not looked back.

lots of women have close pregnancies and cope very well.

Dear Friend, I am a person who is adopted and so happy to be alive and able to respond to you. You don’t want to abort your precious baby. Women do regret abortions. Abortion can be linked to depression, suicide and kills the child. Please care for your little one who is growing inside you.

I understand your concerns. Please disregard the comments from the people who have posted negatively. You are the one that has to carry the baby, do your injections daily, and overall are already high risk due to the diabetes. You already know that you heal slower. There is no risk factor with the termination of the baby with the exception of perhaps healing slower. I would do your research around and find a doctor that is competent and do what is best for you and your husband.

I was in a similar situation and got pregnant right after having my first one, via c-section. She was an emergency and had problems. Well the doctor didn’t sew me up very well and told me that if I attempted to carry the baby to full-term it would put both of our lives at risk. So I did what I thought was best, at the recommendation of the doctor and termintated the pregnancy at 8 weeks. No one in the world needs to worry about what you do with your choices.

I wish you the best of luck, as it is a very hard choice to make.
